Photo Album: CleanSpace Encapsulation System in Rockholds, KY
A homeowner in Rockholds, Kentucky has a home that is only a year old but they are having problems with condensation and groundwater in the crawl space at times. The homeowner was interested in encapsulating the crawl space. The crawl space had a plastic sheeting vapor barrier installed. She met with Albert, a Certified Inspector, who recommended that a CleanSpace Encapsulation System is installed along with drainage matting, a SmartSump Crawl Space Drainage System, SilverGlo Insulation and a SaniDry Sedona.
CleanSpace Encapsulation System is a 20 mil thick plastic liner that is attached to the floors and walls of the crawl space with special spikes and fasteners. The Drainage Matting is installed under the CleanSpace Liner to help drain the water to the drainage system, such as a Smart Sump. SilverGlo Insulation is a graphite infused rigid insulation that will reflect heat back into the crawl space. A SmarSump Crawl Space Drainage System is a made especially for crawl spaces. One great feature of this system is the WaterWatch Alarm. If the water reaches the point that the pump should have started or if there is water from a plumbing leak in the crawl space, an alarm will sound alerting the homeowner to a problem.
The SaniDry Sedona Air System will keep the humidity low. These products all working together will keep the crawl space dry and the humidity low. Having a dry crawl space will help the homeowner to have a healthier home for many years to come.
