Photo Album: SilverGlo and Rim Joist Insulation used to insulate a crawlspace in Frankfort, KY

A Frankfort, Kentucky homeowner was interested in having crawl space insulation installed and called The Basement Doctor of Central Kentucky.  They met with Paul, a Certified Inspector, who recommended that SilverGlo Crawl Space Insulation and RimTight Rim Joist Insulation is installed in the crawl space. SilverGlo is graphite infused polystyrene insulation installed on crawl space walls.  This will keep the floors above warmer in the winter and helps lower the cost of heating bills. RimTight Rim Joist Insulation seals and insulates the rim joist.  The rim joist is the board just above the foundation at the perimeter of your home's floor.  When not sealed properly it can leak unconditioned air from outside which causes cold spaces in the winter and condensation and humidity in the summer.
