Photo Album: CleanSpace Encapsulation to resolve water and moisture in Milltown, IN

A Milltown, Indiana homeowner was having problems with water and moisture getting into the crawl space.  The home is about 20 years old and has a block foundation and no sump pump has been installed.  The homeowner called The Basement Doctor of Central Kentucky to find a solution to this problem.   We installed CleanSpace Encapsulation System with CleanSpace Drainage Matting and a SaniDry Sedona.  CleanSpace Drainage Matting has dimples throughout the matting to provide a channel for water to flow into the drainage system.  The CleanSpace Liner is a bright white plastic liner, similar to a pool liner, that is attached with special fasteners to the walls and floor of the crawl space.  This provides a moisture-proof barrier between the ground below and the home.   The SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier is used to dry and filter the air.  Too much moisture and humidity causes musty odors and encourages mold growth.  A SaniDry Sedona keeps the humidity at an appropriate level, making the home a healthier and more comfortable environment.   Another product to be considered for the crawl space is the SmartSump Crawl Space Drainage System.  The SmartSump Crawl Space Drainage System pumps the water out of the crawl space to keep it dry.  It has a WaterWatch Alarm that sounds if there is a power failure or water from plumbing leaking into the crawl space.  With a SmartSump installed, the homeowner will have peace of mind that the crawl space is safe from water intrusion.
