Photo Album: Helical Piers used to resolve settling foundation in Lawrenceburg, KY
A Lawrenceburg, Kentucky homeowner was having problems with a sinking foundation that was causing cracks in the drywall. The home was built in the 50s with a block foundation. The homeowner met with Brice, a certified inspector, who recommended that helical piers are installed to resolve this problem for the homeowner.
The Patented Helical Pier System permanently stabilizes the home's foundation and in many cases, it can lift the home back to level. Steel piers are mechanically "screwed" into the ground until they reach the stable ground, a steel foundation bracket is connected to the helical pier and then attached to the home's footing. The weight of the home is then transferred to the steel pier. This immediately and permanently stabilizes the foundations and protects the foundation from further settling.
