Photo Album: CleanSpace Encapsulation System in Bardstown, KY

A homeowner in Bardstown, Kentucky was experiencing some moisture in the crawl space and wanted to have the crawl space encapsulated.  The homeowner called The Basement Doctor of Central Kentucky for a solution to this problem.   We installed a CleanSpace Liner, a plastic liner similar to a pool liner, that is attached to the walls and floor of the crawl space to provide a moisture-proof barrier between the ground and the home.   SilverGlo Crawl Space Insulation, graphite-infused polystyrene foam insulation that is attached to the walls of the crawl space to reflect heat back into the crawl space making the crawl space and floors warmer in the winter.  A SmartSump Crawl Space Drainage System was installed to pump water out of the crawl space.  The SmartSump includes the WaterWatch Alarm that will sound an alarm if there is a power or pump failure.  The alarm also sounds if there is a plumbing leak in the crawl space.   A SaniDry Sedona is used to filter and dry the air.  A home with too much humidity is uncomfortable and excess humidity encourages mold growth and musty odors in the crawl space that also linger into the living space.  Since the crawl space is part of the home, it is important to have a healthy crawl space because whatever is in the crawl space is also in the home.   An EverLast Door was installed to give the homeowner easy access into the crawl space when needed and also helps to keep debris from entering into the crawl space.
