Photo Album: CleanSpace Encapsulation done in Louisville, KY
A homeowner in Louisville, Kentucky was interested in having the crawl space encapsulated so they called The Basement Doctor of Central Kentucky for an estimate. The homeowner met with Tony, a Certified Inspector, who recommended a CleanSpace Liner to be installed on the walls and floor of the crawl space to provide a moisture-proof barrier between the ground and the home. He also recommended CleanSpace Vent Covers to cover the existing vents, we wrapped the existing piers that support the home, and We also installed SiverGlo crawl space wall insulation. This insulates the crawl space, lowers heating and cooling costs, and makes the floors warmer in the winter. Also recommended, is the SaniDry Sedona. The SaniDry keeps the humidity low in the crawl space. Controlling the humidity is important to discourage mold growth, musty odors and makes the home more comfortable. The special filters on the SaniDry also filter mold spores, dust mite droppings, and other particulates in the air.
With the work that the homeowner had done on the crawl space, the homeowner will enjoy a healthier more comfortable home.
Crawl space before encapsulation.
This is what the crawl space looked like before the encapsulation was installed.
CleanSpace Encapsulation.
The CleanSpace is a plastic liner, similar to a pool liner, that is permanently attached to the walls and floors of the crawl space.
CleanSpace Encapsulation.
The CleanSpace Liner is also wrapped around the piers of the home.
CleanSpace Encapsulation.
The CleanSpace really brightens up the crawl space. This makes access easier because you can see into the crawl space as well as the floor will be dry.
SilverGlo Insulation.
The SilverGlo is hard to see, but it is a rigid foam insulation that is infused with graphite to reflect heat and make the floors warmer in the winter as well as insulate the crawl space.

The SaniDry Sedona
The SaniDry is used to filter and dry the air in the crawl space. The crawl space is a part of the home, so whatever is in the crawl space is in the living space. A healthier crawl space makes a healthier home!
