Photo Album: Sinking corner of the foundation resolved with Helical Pier System.
A 29-year-old home with a block foundation was starting to settle on one corner of the home. The homeowner called The Basement Doctor of Central Kentucky and scheduled an appointment with Brice, a Certified Inspector, to find a solution to this problem. Brice recommended that the homeowner have the Helical Pier System installed to stabilize the foundation of the home.
A Helical Pier is mechanically screwed into the ground until it reaches bedrock or stable soil. A bracket is attached to the foundation footer and to the Helical pier. This transfers the weight of the home from the unstable ground to the competent soil and immediately stabilizes the foundation.
If you are seeing cracks in your foundation, cracks in the drywall or other problems with the foundation of your home call The Basement Doctor to find out how we can help.
