Crawl Space Flooding
Along the walls of the crawl space were pools of water piled up before we waterproofed it. These pools of water may seem innocent, but they leak heavy amounts of moisture into the air. Heavy moisture = mold, wood rot, dust mites, etc...
Drainage Matting
In order to drain the water to the sump pump, we installed our drainage matting. The bubbles of air in it will allow water to traverse downward to the sump pump. Our drainage matting also makes crawling around in your crawl space easier.
Dehumidification System and Sump Pump
The SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier and the SmartSump sump pump will do all the heavy lifting in reducing moisture levels. In fact, this dehumidifier can remove up to 100 liters of water out of the air in a day. The SmartSump sump pump is seen to the right of the dehumidifier. The sump pump was installed in the lowest graded part of the crawl space floor.
