PowerBraces, WaterGuard, SuperSump and BrightWall used in Lexington, KY
Challenge
A homeowner of a 37-year-old house with a block foundation was having problems with cracks that were seeping water. A sump pump system had not been installed. They called The Basement Doctor of Central Kentucky and scheduled an appointment to find a solution to this problem.
Solution
The homeowner met with Brice, a certified inspector, who recommended PowerBrace System, WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, a SuperSump Pump System, and BrightWall Paneling System.
A PowerBrace is a steel I-beam custom-made to fit your basement wall and is secured to the floor joists at the top and the floor at the bottom of the beam. The PowerBraces immediately stabilize the wall.
BrightWall Paneling system is 4x8 sheets of plastic paneling that is permanently attached to your walls. The panels keep the moisture from getting into your living space and any leaks are drained into the drainage system, such as WaterGuard.
WaterGuard is our patented waterproofing system. WaterGuard is a sub-floor piping system that intercepts water that seeps into the basement and drains it out of your home through a sump pump system, such as a SuperSump Pump System.
The SuperSump Pump System has a high-end 1/3 hp Zoeller cast iron pump, WaterWatch Alarm, a SuperLiner, and Airtight Lid. The WaterWatch Alarm will sound if the water reaches the point that the pump should have started. This alerts the homeowner to a problem before any damage occurs. The SuperLiner is a heavy-duty liner that will not have in or crack. The Airtight Lid keeps moisture from evaporating back into the basement, keeps out bugs and odors and quiets the pump.
These products working together will keep this basement dry and the homeowner will no longer need to worry about water seeping into the basement.
