EverLast Wall Restoration used to repair water damage in Campton, Kentucky.
Challenge
A cabin in Campton, Kentucky had some water that was seeping in at the floor and had damaged the wood paneling on the wall. The owner met with Brice, a Certifed Inspector, to find a solution to this problem. Brice recommended that WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System, an UltraSump Battery Back-up System, and EverLast Wall Restoration Panels are installed to resolve this problem for the homeowner.
Solution
WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a piping system that is installed below the floor along the foundation wall. The WaterGuard collects the water that seeps into the basement and drains it into the sump pump system, such as the SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System.
The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System is one of the best pumps available. The SuperSump comes with a 1/3 hp cast iron pump and includes a CleanPump Stand, SuperLiner, WaterWatch Alarm, Airtight Lid with an Airtight Floor Drain. The CleanPump Stand lifts the pump out of the sediment that settles to the bottom of the liner. The SuperLiner is a heavy-duty plastic liner that houses the pump and will not cave in or crack. The WaterWatch Alarm sounds an alarm if there is a pump or power failure. This alerts the homeowner to an issue with the system that needs to be resolved. The Airtight Lid keeps water from evaporating back into the basement, keeps out insects and odors, keeps things from falling into the liner, and helps to quiet the pump. The Airtight Floor Drain on the Airtight Lid will allow water from a plumbing leak to drain into the SuperLiner but will not let the water to back up into the basement. The UltraSump is the battery back-up system. The UltraSump will automatically start up and run using battery power.
The EverLast Basement Wall Restoration Panel is made of cement board with a washable, mold-proof, vinyl finish. The bottom of the walls in the basement had to be removed due to damage and also so we could install the WaterGuard makes this the perfect time to install the EverLast Wall Restoration Panels. These panels will not mold, rot, or ever need to be painted and is a great addition to this basement.
