Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: WaterGuard & SuperSump resolve basement flooding in Frankfort, KY
A Frankfort homeowner was having problems with some major flooding in the basement when it rains heavily. The homeowner met with Brice, a Certified Inspector, to find a solution to this problem. Brice recommended a WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System and a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System is installed.
WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a piping system installed along the foundation walls that intercepts water that seeps into the basement. It is then drained into a drainage system, such as a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System, to be pumped out of the basement.
The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System includes a 1/3 hp cast iron pump. It also includes the WaterWatch Alarm that will sound an alarm if water reaches the point that the pump should have started. This will alert the homeowner to a problem. The SuperLiner will not cave in or crack and has a special "pump ring" that centers the pump in the liner. It also has an Airtight Lid which keeps water from evaporating back into the basement, keeps things from falling into the liner and also quiets the pump.
Now that the WaterGuard is intercepting the water and the SuperSump is draining that water away from the house, the homeowner will be able to now use the basement without worries of flooding waters.
