Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Leaky basement and crawl space in Lexington, KY

A Lexington homeowner has a crawl space and basement.  In the basement, there were problems with water intrusion.  The crawl space had a musty smell and there was no insulation in it.  The homeowner was interested in having the crawl space and basement waterproofed.  The homeowner met with Roger, a Certified Inspector, who recommended WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is installed.  WaterGuard will intercept the water that is seeping into the basement.  It will then be drained into the sump pump system to be pumped out of the basement.  In the crawl space, Roger recommended CleanSpace Encapsulation System, along with Drainage Matting, CleanSpace Vent Covers, SilverGlo Insulation, and a SaniDry Sedona Air System.  CleanSpace is a plastic liner that is installed along the walls and floor to provide a barrier between the inside of the crawl space and the ground below.  Drainage matting has dimples throughout to provide a channel for the water to travel through to drain out of the crawl space.  CleanSpace Vent Covers also help to provide an airtight seal.  SilverGlo Insulation is a rigid insulation infused with graphite to reflect heat back into the crawl space.  It also helps to keep your floors warmer in the winter.  Also installed is the SaniDry Sedona Air System to keep the humidity low.   Now that the basement and crawlspace have the water problems resolved, the homeowner will have spaces that he can use for storage and will no longer be bothered by a musty smell coming from the crawl space.
