Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Basement and crawl space water problems resolved in Owenton, KY
An Owenton, Kentucky homeowner has a crawl space and unfinished basement. They were having problems with water and moisture in both spaces and called The Basement Doctor of Central Kentucky for a solution to this problem. They met with Damon, a Certified Inspector, who recommended that he have WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System, and PowerBraces installed in the basement and a SmartSump installed in the crawl space area.
In the basement area, the WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System was installed to intercept the water that is seeping into the basement. WaterGuard is a piping system installed along the foundation walls. This system will drain the water unseen into the sump pump system.
The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System has a 1/3 hp Zoeller cast iron pump and has a WaterWatch Alarm, SuperLiner, and an Airtight Lid.
PowerBraces are I-beams attached to the floors and floor joists to stabilize foundation walls and stop settling. They can be adjusted to straighten bowing walls over time.
In the CrawlSpace area, we installed the SmartSump. This drainage system is made especially for crawl spaces. A lot of homeowners do no go into the crawl space often and one unique feature this system has is the WaterWatch Alarm. If there is a plumbing leak coming into the crawl space a special pocket on the Airtight Lid will fill up and sound off the alarm. This will alert the homeowner to a problem in the crawl space.
These systems in place, the homeowner will have a drier healthier home.
