Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: BrightWall, SuperSump and SaniDry resolve water intrusion in Pleasureville, KY
A Pleasureville, Kentucky homeowner was having problems with water seeping in from the joints and the floor of the basement. The house was built in the 1940s, had block walls and had a sump pump. He met with Paul, a Certified Inspector, who recommended that BrighWall Paneling System, A SuperSump along with an UltraSump Battery Back-up System, and a SaniDry Sedona is installed to resolve this problem.
BrightWall Paneling System is 4x8 sheets of plastic paneling that are permanently attached with special drilled-in fasteners. The BrightWall will keep water vapor from permeating the walls and the bright white color brightens up the basement.
The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System is a high-end 1/3 hp Zoeller cast iron pump. It includes the WaterWatch Alarm, the SuperLiner, and the Airtight Lid. The WaterWatch Alarm sounds an alarm to alert the homeowner if there is a primary pump failure or power failure. The SuperLiner is a heavy duty liner with 96 holes in it to allow water to drain in from below the floor. The Airtight Lid keeps moisture from evaporating back into the basement, keeps things from falling in, keeps out insects and odors, and quiets the pump. It also has a knockout for a dehumidifier drain hose.
The SaniDry Sedona is a dehumidifier that dries and filters the air. Not only is humid air uncomfortable, but air with a lot of humidity supports mold growth and musty odors. Drying and filtering the air not only will make the basement more comfortable but the whole home with be a healthier place also.
