Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: WaterGuard and SuperSump used to resolve water intrusion in Lexingon, KY
A Lexington, Kentucky homeowner has a home that is three years old and is having problems with water seeping into the basement. The water is seeping in at the floor near a foundation wall. They called The Basement Doctor of Central Kentucky and met with one of our Certified Inspectors, Brice, to find a solution to this problem.
Brice recommended that the homeowner have WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System and a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System is installed to resolve this problem.
WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a patented piping system that is installed into the floor along the foundation walls to intercept water that is seeping into the basement. This water is then drained into a sump pump system, such as a SuperSump to be pumped out of the basement.
The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System is the best pump available from nearly 50 models. It is a high-end 1/3 hp Zoeller cast iron pump. It also includes the WaterWatch alarm, which will sound an alarm if the water reaches the point that the pump should have turned on. This will alert the homeowner to a problem with the system to be resolved before damage occurs. It also includes the SuperLiner, a rugged-heavy duty liner with 96 holes in it to allow water to flow in from under the floor as well. The Airtight Lid keeps moisture from evaporating back into the basement, keeps things from falling into the liner, and keeps out bugs, odors and helps to quiet the pump.
