Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, TrenchDrain and SuperSump resolve water seeping into a basement at the seam, in Georgetown KY
A Georgetown, Kentucky homeowner was having problems with water seeping into the basement at the seam. The homeowner called The Basement Doctor of Central Kentucky for help resolving this problem. The homeowner met with Damon, one of our Certified Inspectors, who recommended that WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, a TrenchDrain, and a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System is installed to resolve the problems they were having in the basement.
The WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a piping system installed into the floor along the foundation walls. This piping system intercepts the water that is seeping into the basement and drains it into the sump pump system. A TrenchDrain is an open-topped, grated drain that allows water to enter and be drained into the perimeter drainage system. These are usually installed across hatches, doorways, and stairwells.
The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System is a high-end 1/3 hp Zoeller cast iron pump. It includes the WaterWatch Alarm, the Super Liner and the Airtight Lid. The WaterWatch Alarm will sound if the water reaches the point that the pump should have turned on or during a power failure. This will alert the homeowner to a problem with the system that needs to be resolved before damage can occur. The SuperLiner is a rugged heavy duty liner that will not cave in or crack. The Airtight Lid keeps water from evaporating back into the basement, keeps out insects and odors, and quiets the pump.
Now that the WaterGuard is intercepting the water that is seeping in and the SuperSump system is pumping it out of the basement, the homeowner will be able to use the basement without worries of water intrusion.

The TrenchDrain has been installed along the doorway of this basement. As you can see, this has a grated opening that sits flush with the floor. This will collect any water that seeps in and will drain it into the sump pump system to be pumped back out of the basement.
