Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: CleanSpace, WaterGuard and Powerbraces used to resolve leaking wall cracks in Edgewood, KY

A homeowner in Edgewood, Kentucky was having problems with cracks in the basement walls that were leaking water into the basement.  The foundation is poured and a sump pump system had not been installed.  The homeowner met with Roger, one of our Certified Inspectors, who recommended that PowerBrace System, WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System, Sil Plate Replacement, and CleanSpace Wall System are installed to resolve the problems that the homeowner was having in the basement. The PowerBraces System is steel I-beams that are secured tight against the walls with brackets attached to the floors and floor joists to immediately stabilize a wall that is bowing, tilting or tipping.  The adjustable bracket is designed to be tightened over time to potentially straighten a failing wall.   WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is our patented piping system that is installed in the floor along the foundation walls to intercept water that is seeping into the basement.  The piping system drains the water into the sump pump system to be pumped out of the basement. The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System is a high-end Zoeller 1/3 hp cast iron pump.  It also includes the WaterWatch Alarm that sounds if the water reaches the point that the pump should have turned on.  It will also sound if there is a power failure alerting the homeowner to a problem with the system.  The SuperLiner is a rugged liner that will keep the water from evaporating back into the basement, keeps objects from falling into the liner and quiets the pump.   CleanSpace Wall System is a heavy plastic liner, similar to a pool liner, that is attached with special fasteners to the walls of the basement.  This heavy plastic liner, CleanSpace, is our most economical way to cover walls.  The CleanSpace Wall System also keeps water vapor from entering into the basement living space and will drain wall leaks down into the WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System.   The CleanSpace Wall System will keep the basement dry and drain the wall leaks into the WaterGuard.  The WaterGuard drains the water into the SuperSump to be pumped out of the basement.  The PowerBraces will stabilize the walls and protect them against further movement.  These systems working together will give the homeowner a basement space that can be used without worries of water intrusion.
