Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: WaterGuard and SuperSump to resolve water problems in Independence, KY

An Independence, Kentucky homeowner was having problems with water seeping into the basement and called The Basement Doctor of Central Kentucky to find a solution to this problem.  The homeowner met with Steve, a Certified Inspector, who recommended that WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System and a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System are installed to resolve the problems the homeowner was having in the basement.  The WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a piping system installed under the basement floor at the perimeter of the foundation walls.  WaterGuard collects the water that seeps into the basement and then drains it away unseen to keep the basement dry.  Having a dry basement will allow the homeowner to be able to use this valuable space.  Water seeping into the basement can cause damage, musty odors and mold.  Now, with the WaterGuard installed this will no longer be a problem for the homeowner. The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System is used to pump the water out of the basement.  The SuperSump can pump 2,650 gallons an hour, resists clogging and can put up to 1/2" solids.  This system also includes the WaterWatch alarm that will sound if there is a pump or power failure.  This will alert the homeowner to a problem with the system that needs to be resolved.  The SuperLiner is a rugged, heavy-duty polyethylene liner with an exclusive "pump ring" on the floor of the liner to center the pump into the liner.  The special Airtight Lid keeps moisture from evaporating back into the basement, has easy knockouts for draining the dehumidifier, and has an airtight floor drain.  The airtight floor drain will allow water from a plumbing leak to drain into the liner but the water cannot come back up into the basement.  With these systems installed, the homeowner will now be able to enjoy a dry basement that can be used for storage, recreation, or extra living space.   The homeowner will no longer have to worry about water intrusion in the basement.
