Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: A bowing wall and water seepage resolved in Frankfort, KY

A Frankfort, Kentucky homeowner was having problems with a bowing wall that was seeping some water into the basement.  The homeowner called The Basement Doctor of Central Kentucky for a solution to this problem.  The homeowner met with Damon, a Certified Inspector, who recommended that WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System, and PowerBraces are installed to resolve the problems that the homeowner was having in the basement. WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a sub-floor piping system that is used to intercept the water that is seeping into the basement.  The water is drained into a sump pump system to be pumped out of the basement.  The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System is a high-end 1/3 hp Zoeller cast iron pump.  Also included is the WaterWatch Alarm, SuperLiner, and an Airtight Lid.  The WaterWatch Alarm will sound if the water reaches the point that the pump should have turned on.  This will alert the homeowner to a problem with the system that needs to be resolved.  The SuperLiner has 96 holes throughout it to allow water to also flow in from under the floor.  The Airtight Lid prevents water from evaporating back into the basement, quiets the pump and keeps objects from falling into the liner.   PowerBraces are steel I-beams that are secured tightly against a foundation wall that is cracking, tilting or bowing.  The PowerBraces are attached with brackets to the floor and floor joist.  There is an adjustable bracket that can be tightened over time to potentially reverse the wall failure.  The PowerBraces will immediately stabilize the foundation and protect it from further movement.  This gives the homeowner peace of mind and restores the home's property value.
