Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: CleanSpace, SilverGlo, SaniDry, SmartSump used to resolve moisture in a crawl space in Vine Grove, KY

A homeowner in Vine Grove, Kentucky was having problems with some moisture in the crawl space of the home.  The home was built about 5 years ago, has a poured foundation, and a sump pump had not been installed.  The homeowner called The Basement Doctor of Central Kentucky and met with Tony, a Certified Inspector, who recommended that a CleanSpace Liner along with CleanSpace Vent Covers, SilverGlo Crawl Space Wall Insulation, SmartSump Crawl Space Drainage System, and a SaniDry Sedona is installed to resolve the problems in the crawlspace.   CleanSpace is a plastic liner, similar to a pool liner, that is attached to the walls and floor of the crawl space.  This provides a vapor-proof barrier between the ground and the home. The CleanSpace Vent Covers are used to cover the existing vents on the crawl space.  This helps to create an airtight seal and keeps the cold air from entering in the winter and hot, humid air in the summer.  The SilverGlo Crawl Space Wall Insulation is attached to the walls of the crawl space.  The SilverGlo is infused with graphite particles to reflect heat.  This also helps with heating and cooling costs and makes the floors warmer in the winter.  SmartSump Crawl Space Drainage System is used to pump the water out of the crawl space.  It has a WaterWatch Alarm that will sound if there is a pump or power failure and will alert the homeowner if there is a pump or power outage.   SaniDry Sedona is used to dry and filter the air.  Too much humidity in the crawl space can encourage mold growth, musty odors and wood rot.  The special filters on the SaniDry also filter out mold spores, dust mite droppings and other particulates from the air.  This makes the air in your whole home healthier and more comfortable.  The crawl space is a part of the home, so whatever is in the crawl space is in the living space.   By Providing a moisture barrier, pumping the water out of the crawl space, and having the SaniDry Sedona to keep the humidity low the homeowner will experience lower heating costs, warmer floors in the winter and a healthier air environment in the home.
