This home had a sagging floor above the crawl space because the main beams had become worn out. We installed SmartJacks and a Smart Beam across the floor joists to support the ceiling.
This seven year old basement had seen us once before, where we sealed up the slab cracks in the basement floor using NexusPro sealant. The customer called us back to install some steel piers called Smart Jacks, which will never rust and can be adjusted in the future for changes in height. They are situated under the main beams, which allows them to provide amazing strength and support to the basement ceiling.
Myrna of Williamsburg, Kentucky, needed crawlspace repairs. The floors in her home were sagging, so she called The Basement Doctor of Central Kentucky. Upon our inspection, we found that one of the support beams in her crawlspace had broken. It was that beam that was causing the floors to sag.
To fix this issue, we installed our SmartJack system. In total, we installed 10 SmartJacks and 5 Steel beams to permanently reverse the damage done to the crawlspace. She was so happy with her experience that she submitted a 5-star review.
"Daniel Flora and his crew were great and did a awesome job VERY nice"
This home in Lawrenceburg Kentucky, Kentucky was having issues because the soil it was resting on had been moving. This was causing the floor boards to sink and become saggy. Luckily the customer gave us a call, because this problem could have resulted in far more serious consequences if not caught early. They were also lucky because the crawl space joist brackets were still in tact, so all that was needed was a SmartJack system. The SmartJack system was installed on the central beam of the crawl space foundation, allowing for a quick but everlasting fix. The SmartJack cannot rust or break, and they are able to be fine tuned for the size and strength required. Also, each SmartJack post rests on a precast concrete pad that is set on a base of compacted stone. This engineered structural system won’t settle like masonry piers can; nor will it rot or shift like a wood post. This home wont have to worry about settling foundation problems coming from settling foundation again.
