In the before picture, you can see signs of moisture issues just about everywhere. On the floors and walls, you can see mold stains pretty much everywhere. In the ceiling, you can see extremely wet fiberglass dripping from the beams. Moisture in this crawl space was causing a multitude of problems like exposing unhealthy air into the home, degrading the wooden beams, and making the fiberglass ineffective at insulating the home. We started by installing a waterproofing system by placing perforated pipes in trenches around the perimeter of the interior of the crawl space. We then backfilled those trenches with gravel and dug a hole for our SuperSump sump pump, (not pictured). We then placed down CleanSpace with drainage matting all over the crawl space. We also installed a SaniDrySedona dehumidifier and hooked it up to the pump. To care for the insulation of the crawl space, we installed SilverGlo panels along the walls, which allowed us to rip all the moldy fiberglass out of the crawl space.
