Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System installed to resolve water problems in Lawrenceburg, KY
A Lawrenceburg, Kentucky homeowner was having problems with water seeping into the crawl space. The home is a few years old, the crawl space has a dirt floor and no sump pump has been installed. The homeowner called The Basement Doctor of Central Kentucky and met with Damon, one of our Certified Inspectors, to find a solution to this problem.
Damon recommended a CleanSpace Encapsulation System. The CleanSpace Liner is a 20-mil-thick white plastic liner, similar to a pool liner that is attached to the walls and floor of the crawl space with special fasteners. The CleanSpace Liner provides a vapor-proof barrier between the ground below and the home. It also brightens up the crawl space and makes the area easier to access. The homeowner also had an Aprilaire high-efficiency dehumidifier installed to dry and filter the air. High humidity can cause damage to your home as well as make the environment uncomfortable.
With these products installed, the homeowner will enjoy a drier, healthier home.

Look at the difference the CleanSpace has made. Now if the homeowner needs to access the crawl space it will be a much nicer place to go into.
Aprilaire
The Aprilaire dehumidifier will keep the humidity low. This will help to control mold growth and also make the environment in the home more comfortable.
