Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: CleanSpace Encapsulation in Lebanon, KY

A homeowner in Lebanon, Kentucky called The Basement Doctor of Central Kentucky regarding interest in having the crawl space area encapsulated.  For this project, we installed a CleanSpace Liner, a SmartSump Crawl Space Drainage System, and a SaniDry Sedona. A CleanSpace Liner is permanently attached to the walls and floor of the crawl space.  This provides a vapor-proof barrier between the ground and the home.  The bright white color of the CleanSpace reflects natural light and makes it easier to see into, and gives the homeowner a nice, clean space.   A SmartSump Crawl Space Drainage System is a great product to have in a crawl space.  The SmartSump will drain the water out of the crawl space and it also includes the WaterWatch Alarm.  The WaterWatch Alarm will sound if there is a power outage to alert the homeowner of a problem with the system.  This is a valuable feature to have since not a lot of homeowners venture into the crawl space that often.  Another great feature of this pump is that it has an airtight floor drain.  If plumbing leaks water into the crawl space, the water will flow down into the Airtight floor drain but will not be able to back up into the crawl space.  This will also sound the WaterWatch Alarm.  The SaniDry Sedona was also installed to keep the humidity low.  This will help to discourage mold growth, musty odors, and control humidity, making the home healthier and more comfortable.
