We started by installing our waterproofing system by digging trenches all around the perimeter of the crawl space. We then installed perforated piping in the trenches, and backfilled the pipes with gravel. We then dug a hole in the lowest graded part of the crawl space to install our SmartSump sump pump. After the waterproofing system we laid down our drainage matting on top of the dirt floor in the crawl space, and we put SilverGlo foam insulation panels all along the walls. We then overlaid our CleanSpace vapor barrier all over the drainage matting and the SilverGlo insulation, completely isolating the crawl space from the earth. Lastly, we installed our dehumidification system and cover all vents to ensure the crawl space stays dry 24/7. The result was a very happy homeowner. This picture was taken just before we installed our white CleanSpace vapor barrier over the dimpled matting on the floor and over the silver insulation panels on the wall. The dimpled drainage matting helps the waterproofing system drain water and it also makes the vapor barrier softer to crawl on.

Our dehumidifier ties right into the sump pump, that way it discharges all the water it collects throughout the air molecules automatically. The sump pump comes with an audible alarm that will alert the homeowners if anything is wrong.
