Faith Victory Church in Frankfort, Kentucky Seeks Helical Pier System as a Solution to a Settling Foundation
Challenge
Founded over 20 years ago in September of 1992, Faith Victory Church in Frankfort is a community icon. But over time, even public buildings start needing a bit of extra attention. This property happens to currently be under comprehensive construction to refresh and maintain it. So when the owners of the church reached out to us with their foundation's issues, we were more than happy to help. They were dealing with an unstable, settling foundation that was leading to problems for the whole building (like sticking doors and windows). Luckily, our team exactly what to do to restore their foundation and stabilize it for good.
Solution
By installing 13 helical piers around the perimeter of the church, our team created a stable foundation for the church to sit on. Helical piers address the root cause of foundation settlement and are suitable for both light and heavy loads. That's why they were the perfect permanent solution for this building. These piers have a rounded shaft and external sleeve to resist bending, have true helix bearing plates that disturb less soil while reaching greater depths than other options, and won't add weight to unstable soils or crack under pressure.
