Piers Installed
The footer wasn't that deep into the soil, which was probably why the house was sinking. The frost line in Kentucky is usually around two to three feet deep into the soil, and you usually want your footer deeper than that.

Sinking Foundation
This was one of the corners of the home that required piers. Under the deck to the right is a large crack in the shadows.

Drilled Down Helical Piers
The Steel Pier has been mechanically screwed down into the ground until it reached load bearing soil. Now that the rods have been screwed in, we now have to attach the rods to the footers with brackets.

Back Filled Soil
After we backfill the soil, it takes some time for the soil to settle. We like these pictures because often times, you can see why the soil is troubled. In this case, it looks like the soil was very dry.

Foundation Lifting
Our piers come with special hydraulic attachments, which allow us to try and lift the home in some cases. This process may be able to fix sticking doors and close the gaps in your home.
