Photo Album: Stair step cracking in the brick of a home in Winchester, KY.
A home that was about 20 years old was starting to get cracks in the outside brick and also in the drywall on the inside of the home. After meeting with a Certified Inspector, the homeowner decided to have a Helical Pier System installed to stabilize the foundation.
The Helical Pier System is a steel pier that is mechanically screwed into the ground until it reaches competent soil. A bracket is attached to the pier and to the foundation footer. This transfers the weight of the home to the pier. This permanently stabilizes the foundation. For more details, schedule an appointment with a Certified Inspector.
