Sinking Corner of the House
Since this corner of the house was sinking so fastly, these doors and windows were becoming harder and harder to open and close by the day.
Concrete Underpinning
This shows just how much concrete was poured by another foundation company for their concrete underpinning process. It's easy to see how this process is ineffective because of how heavy this mass of concrete looks. This cheaper process is quite counterintuitive.
Concrete Underpinning Mess
One of the unfortunate parts about concrete underpinning is if it doesn't work, you then have to excavate massive amounts of concrete to expose the original footers to place new piers.
Hydraulic Attachments
The red parts on the top of the piers are hydraulic attachments that allow us to raise the piers. They become unattached once everything is leveled. Then all the piers are backfilled, leaving them concealed under the ground.
Level Floors
When we use hydraulics to lift the foundation back up, we like to make sure everything is level in the home and the doors and windows are unstuck.
