Problematic Corner
This door was becoming increasingly harder to open and close for the homeowner.

Deck Troubles
Unfortunately this deck that was connected to the foundation was sinking along with the foundation. You can kind of tell from this photo that the deck was sloped down towards the right side.

Helical Piers System
These piers have been screwed deep down into load-bearing strata. Load-bearing strata is soil that is compact and won't settle. We are able to tell when the piers hit this area of the soil when our pressure gauges reach a certain degree. The "L" shaped brackets at the top of the cylinder-shaped piers connect the footing of the home to the piers.

Hydraulic Pier System
The red attachments on the top of the piers allowed us to push the home up. This intricate process helped fix the sticky door issue. You can also see how the framing of the deck had become compromised due to the settling, as the framing was sloping down towards the right.

Stabilized Foundation
After we lifted the house back up, we then backfilled the trenches, practically concealing the piers. Now that this corner is stabilized, the homeowner can rebuild their deck and not have to worry about it failing again.
