The owners of this basement had us install a partial waterproofing system four years ago. They only wanted a partial because they only noticed water intrusions from the one side of the basement. We didn't pressure them into anything they didn't need and we told them that we could come out again to install a full system if they noticed water coming from the sides they did not want waterproofed. After four years, they noticed that the other sides of the basement had become wet. Sometimes, a partial system can work, but most often as time passes, water will build up higher and higher on the sides not waterproofed. When the pressure builds up too much, (after four years in this case) the water eventually finds a new way into the basement. When we came out to turn the partial system to a full one, we installed WaterGuard drains and connected them to the existing ones and the existing TripleSafe sump pump. We also added another TripleSafe sump pump in the opposite corner of the basement, as this larger basement could use two of them. We also installed CleanSpace walls so that the owners could finish the basement once they have the resources to do so.
In Harold, KY, a homeowner reached out to us in distress – every time it rained, the corners of their basement became mini lakes, drenching their hopes for a dry, usable space. They needed a dependable solution, and that's when we at The Basement Doctor stepped in. Our mission from the start was to deliver not just a fix, but peace of mind too. The process kicked off with our Customer Care team setting up a home inspection. As promised, our System Design Specialist was right on their doorstep, ready to identify the crux of the leakage. The diagnosis? An outdated sump pump and insufficient drainage were letting water take over the basement. We proposed a powerhouse trio to banish the dampness for good: The TripleSafe Sump Pump, UltraSump System, and WaterGuard. Once we got the green light from the homeowner, our production team, equipped with tools and expertise, initiated the game-changing installation. The TripleSafe Sump Pump ensured strong, reliable water evacuation with its three-level pumping system, while the UltraSump Battery Backup System promised to keep it running even during power outages. Complementing this was the WaterGuard, engineered to quietly usher water into the sump pit away from the basement. After swiftly installing the products and cleaning up, witnessing the homeowner's relief was our token of success. No more rain-induced panic. This project in Harold, KY, is a testament to our aim – rendering a basement that's dry all year, providing homeowners like you a reliable and lasting solution to water woes.
