The foundation of a home that was built on the side of a hill had a room that started to separate from the rest of the home. The homeowner called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati to find a solution to this problem. The homeowner met with a Certified Inspector, who recommended that the Helical Pier System is installed to resolve this problem for the homeowner.
The Helical Pier System permanently stabilizes the foundation of your home and can possibly lift the foundation back to level. A steel pier is mechanically screwed into the soil until it reaches competent soil. A steel foundation bracket is attached to the pier and the foundation footing. This transfers the weight of the home from the unstable soil to the competent soil. The Helical Pier is designed to potentially lift your home. Helical Piers protect your foundation from further settling and restores your property value.
The Patented Helical Pier System is exclusive to Foundation Supportworks, Inc. If you are having problems with a sinking foundation, call The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati and schedule an appointment with a Certified Inspector who can show you what products would be best to resolve the problems in your home.
A homeowner in Williamstown, Kentucky, called The Basement Doctor of Central Kentucky regarding some problems they were having with water seeping into the basement. The home was built in the early 1980s and had a poured foundation with a sump pump installed in the basement.
We installed our WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System along with an UltraSump Battery Back up System, BrightWall Paneling System, and PowerBrace Wall Support System.
These products working together will resolve this basement water problem for the homeowner. For more details or to see how these products work, schedule an appointment for an in-home inspection. The estimates are free for homeowners.
The owners of this rental home received a text from one of their tenants saying the basement was leaky and would smell a little musty whenever it rained. The owners then called us after seeing that we had done work in Crittenden before. We sent an inspector out and he noticed water stains coming from the stairwell. This is something we see often because stairs often filter water down into basements. We offered two solutions, we could waterproof the whole basement, or just focus on the stairs and maybe add on to it in the future if water comes in from elsewhere. The owners just wanted the stairs done for now, so we installed a French drain, a TripleSafe sump pump, and a discharge line away from the home. If the owners ever decide to fully waterproof, they will have a good start on it.
Is your beautiful, intricate concrete sinking too far into your soil? When the weather is as dry as it is now, your soil will contract and shrink, bringing your concrete slabs with it. This can cause your guard rails to separate from the slabs on your front porch, as seen here. It can also cause unsafe steps, where each step is a different height. We fixed this front porch by raising it with our industrial grade PolyLevel foam, which is a lot cleaner than mudjacking alternatives. Raise it, don't replace it!
