This homeowner in Midway, KY, wanted a cleaner, healthier, more energy efficient home, so they wanted us to encapsulate their crawl space. Having your crawl space encapsulated has one of the highest returns on investment in terms of home improvement projects, especially when your crawl space is large and wet like this one. We encapsulated the entire space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier in order to keep the space clean, and we installed our SilverGlo insulation in order to keep the space well insulated. We finished the project by installing our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to ensure the space stays dry 24/7. The result of this project is a home that will save money on energy costs & potential repairs, have healthier air, and will keep pests out like rattlesnakes known to frequent the area.
In order to control the high humidity levels for this crawl space in Wilmore, KY, we installed a large vapor barrier all across the dirt floor and all across the walls. You see, when we install our CleanSpace liner, we make sure to seal it off with tape everywhere in the crawl space, even the concrete piers. This way, there is effectively no way moisture can seep up through the crawl space. We also added a dehumidification system to ensure moisture would not be present in the crawl space any longer. If you are interested in getting your crawl space encapsulated, be sure to give us a call for a free quote.
In Wilmore, KY, this homeowner’s front porch had started to settle, creating an uneven gap where the concrete slab met the brick wall. To restore both the look and safety of the entryway, we lifted the porch using PolyLevel®, our quick and precise concrete lifting system. Once the slab was level, we sealed the joint between the brick wall and concrete with NexusPro®, a durable, flexible sealant that protects against water intrusion and further settling. Be sure to scroll through the photos to see how we brought this front porch back to life!
This slab foundation home in Stamping Ground, KY, was sinking into problematic soil causing the slab to sink by about 3/4 of an inch. Because the slab was light enough, we were able to raise it with our PolyLevel expansive foam jacking method. As you can see in the after picture, our foam was able to completely fill the void, and even lifted it back up a bit.
The owner of this new home wanted their new crawl space properly prepared for the future. We installed our standard crawl space repair system consisting of a SmartSump sump pump hooked up to a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, CleanSpace lining, drainage matting, and EverLast crawl space door. The result is a crawl space that is properly prepared for the future and will surely last a long, long time.
