This storm shelter was a 10 foot by 10 foot square, where you had to enter through a trap door. The problem the customer was experiencing with the storm shelter was it was growing mold, and it was at risk for flooding. We fixed these problems by installing WaterGuard drainage all under the perimeter of the interior of the shelter, connecting to a Super Sump sump pump, and CleanSpace matting all over the walls.
This crawl space had wooden beams that were probably not the best for holding up the crawl space. They were folding under the pressure, and needed some assistance. We installed our SmartJack crawl space posts, which are adjustable over time, allowing for adjustments. They are also coated in zinc which will prevent rusting.
A homeowner in London, Kentucky was having problems with water seeping into the crawl space. At the time, the crawl space just had some plastic laid on the floor to act as a vapor barrier. The CleanSpace liner that we installed, similar to a pool liner, was permanently attached to the floor and floor joists of the crawl space. This provides a vapor-proof barrier between the ground and home.
This home in London, Kentucky needed their crawl space repaired because it was giving them problems with mold, foundation problems, flooding, and loss of energy. We Fixed this problem by installing our UltraSump connected by drainage matting. We also installed CleanSpace and our SaniDry Sedona to keep the basement dry from moisture. Lastly, we installed Rim Joist Insulation and SilverGlo to insulate the crawlspace and save energy.
This basement was in need of a waterproofing job as it was musty and growing mold near the floor. We were able to help the basement out by installing WaterGuard drainage, a TripleSafe sump pump, a trench drain, BrightWall panels, and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. The basement is now dry as can be and has the opportunity to become finished if the owner so pleases.
