As a result from all the hydrostatic pressure this basement foundation was receiving, the walls were bowing in and leaking water. In the before picture you can see the chipped paint, cracks, bowing, and the pool of water on the floor. In the after picture you can see PowerBraces holding the bowing walls up, CleanSpace walls covering the once dirty wall, fresh concrete over the hidden WaterGuard drains all around the perimeter of the basement, and a TripleSafe sump pump all the way in the corner.
The existing front porch for this home in Cynthiana was all bent out of shape. Large gaps revealed themselves throughout the driveway and front porch, which is a cause for concern. Large gaps not only look bad, they can decrease the lifetime of your slabs. That's why we leveled these slabs out with our PolyLevel foam, and then sealed them with our sealant. The result was a happy homeowner!
This crawl space was having some moisture issues, as seen on the walls and the floor joists in the before picture. Efflorescence, the white chalky substance seen on the foundation walls are a result of water vapor leaking through the porous cinder blocks, where it is most commonly found. The mold on the floor joists can also lead to rot and structural issues, so encapsulating to block out moisture is a good idea. Here we installed CleanSpace walls and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, two products that will guarantee almost any crawlspace that moisture will not be a problem. CleanSpace walls completely seal out water vapor and dirt, while the SaniDry dehumidifier will further prevent moisture in the air.
This below grade garage was receiving a lot of hydro-static pressure around certain walls. When this happens, the walls tend to bow in and cracks begin to form from the large amount of water that is sitting around the foundation. We first relieved the pressure by drilling weeping holes into the trenches where the waterproofing system will go. WaterGuard was then placed into the trenches, connected to a TripleSafe sump pump and a discharge line. We then placed CleanSpace walls and PowerBraces to hold the bowing walls up. The CleanSpace walls function as a funnel for moisture seeping through the walls and the CleanSpace also looks cosmetically pleasing as well.
The Plummer family of Corinth, Kentucky, had a lovely sunroom, but the concrete floor started to sink. They tried to make the space more comfortable by placing linolium on the floor. It wasn't doing the trick. Finally, they called The Basement Doctor of Central Kentucky and got a free estimate. We were able to lift and seal the concrete. The family was able to rearrange the sunroom and make it more comfortable.
