Concrete Lifting and Leveling Before & After Photos

When concrete slabs settle, they often create more problem than just one. This home had some settling concrete that created gaps in their driveway, sidewalk, and front porch. Settling concrete is a problem for many people. Here are the problems the homeowners were experiencing with their sinking concrete:

1. The gaps were an eyesore.

2. The gaps could easily cause someone to trip.

3. The cracks made the concrete more vulnerable to rain penetration, thus decreasing the expected lifespan of the concrete.

In order to fix all these problems, we decided to inject our polyurethane foam under all the sunken slabs. This foam is clean, strong, and quick settling, which makes it a better alternative than mudjacking. We then sealed all the thinned out cracks with our concrete sealant, which will prevent water from getting between the cracks again. The result was a happy homeowner. 

This concrete pad set in the driveway for this homeowner had a big crack down the middle. The soil underneath the slab washed out near the entrance to the garages foundation, resulting in the slab to bend and crack towards the garage entrance. In order to fix this slab we injected polyurethane foam under the sunken part, which raised it even with the rest of the driveway again. We then sealed the crack to make sure water can't penetrate the concrete. The result is a happy homeowner who doesn't have to worry about tripping on the crack any longer!

In Wilmore, KY, this homeowner’s front porch had started to settle, creating an uneven gap where the concrete slab met the brick wall. To restore both the look and safety of the entryway, we lifted the porch using PolyLevel®, our quick and precise concrete lifting system. Once the slab was level, we sealed the joint between the brick wall and concrete with NexusPro®, a durable, flexible sealant that protects against water intrusion and further settling. This slab foundation home in Stamping Ground, KY, was sinking into problematic soil causing the slab to sink by about 3/4 of an inch. Because the slab was light enough, we were able to raise it with our PolyLevel expansive foam jacking method. As you can see in the after picture, our foam was able to completely fill the void, and even lifted it back up a bit.

Do you also have a monstrous gap between your sidewalk and front porch slabs? This occurs when your sidewalk sinks from soil shrinkage. Then, when there is a gap that forms, rain can then enter that gap and wash away all the soil from under the front porch. We stopped this process from occurring again by raising the slabs by injecting our industrial grade PolyLevel foam, which is a very clean process compared to mudjacking.
